Get clarity and focus with one word goals

Ah, the new year. The time for setting new goals. If you read my post on the 5 Biggest Goal Setting Mistakes then you know how I feel about goals. Goals can disempower us or empower us. It’s all about how and why you chose your goals.

One of my favorite methods for empowering goal setting is through one word goals. A one word goal is just that- one word that represents your desired progress.

How do you want to feel about your life or your business? How do you want to present yourself? If you chose one word to describe your life, what would you want it to be?

One word goals offer clarity and focus. A one word goal is easy to remember and consider when life gets busy, when you’re facing change, when you’re deciding whether to say yes or no to a new opportunity.

Visualize it

Once you’ve chosen a one word goal, put it somewhere you’ll see it every day. Include it in your vision board. Write it on a sticky note on your mirror. Invest in a custom piece of jewelry with your one word goal.

The important thing is to visualize your one word goal each and every day.
